Sa traduction reste discutée : la version courante, qui parle d'un joyau posé dans un lotus, est contestée par plusieurs spécialistes, qui y lisent plutôt un appel adressé directement au bodhisattva.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDans l'Himalaya, on le grave sur des pierres plates, les pierres mani, posées au bord des sentiers et des rivières ou empilées en murets qui atteignent parfois un kilomètre de long.
